Italian niche brand Acqua di Parma have launched a new version of iris Nobile called Nobile Iris Sublime which lays the accent on the luxury material Iris Pallida.
A cursory smelling session reveals a rooty iris managing to escape its usually distinguishable earthy, powdery or floral facets to play rather on ambiguities. But you could still sum it up by noting that the perfume is elegant, even aristocratic in its restraint and lack of showiness. Its charm is muted...
"A timeless and unique fragrance, based around the Iris pallida, one of the most precious ingredients of haute perfumery. Perfect for a woman with an aristocratic femininity and a natural charm."
The eau de parfum opens on top notes of Italian mandarin and neroli, followed by ylang-ylang, Tuscan iris pallida, jasmine, rose, orange flower essences. The base notes are patchouli, musk, cedar, birch, and acacia.
Acqua di Parma have a collection of upscale solifloral compositions which includes Magnolia Nobile, Gelsomino Nobile and Iris Nobile. They are in particular reputed for their Colonia.
