The new fragrance from Parisian fashion house Balmain is a re-interpretation of their timeless classic Ivoire. First inspired by a mysterious, beautiful stranger in 1979, the 2012 version incarnates the modern Balmain woman with her combination of heritage and nostalgia but at the same time remarkable modernity.
Perfume designers Michel Almairac and Jacques Flori have stayed true to the original scent but given it a modern twist. Orange and mandarin arouse citrus top-notes before leading to a floral middle featuring jasmine and rose. Vetiver, cedarwood and patchouli provide aromatic base-notes before rounding off into delicate vanilla.
The bottle is elegantly and architecturally designed reflecting the timelessness of Balmain’s philosophy.
