Fragrance label Odin offers two new scents, and some advice image

Perfume can make a good Christmas present, but it is often difficult to find the right one.
Kelly Kovack, perfume maker behind niche fragrance label Odin sold by the Manhattan menswear store of the same name, suggested you "live with the scent" before buying it.
"There's definitely an art to [making] fragrance, so you need to really take the time to experience it," she said last week while in town promoting Odin's latest fragrances - 08 Seylon and 09 Posala.
Kovack and her partners have been developing unisex fragrances for the New York fashion store for the last three years. "We try to create fragrance with a modern approach. They smell differently on different people at different times of the day," she said.
Instead of finding the perfect fragrance, try building a wardrobe around it, Kovack said.
"When it's warm outside, I'd gravitate to a more citrus smell, while in winter, it's woody and spicy. Your scent is an expression of who you are. So instead of having the hot, 'it' fragrance that's been endorsed by a celebrity, find something truly you."
